I am Not a Paper Cup

I've been eying of this adorable eco-friendly coffee cup on our designer's desk and now I'm determined to do my part as a coffee consumer!  (ok, I like it for its novelty too.)
"Don't worry, you don't have to give up your daily coffee fix to show mama earth some love. This clever porcelain rendition of a paper cup looks just like the modern to-go cup, except this one can be used over and over again. So whether you order black coffee or double mocha cinnamon latte, the original I Am NOT a Paper CupTM made of double-walled porcelain will keep drinks piping hot and paper cups out of landfills. Durable and great for travel. Matte porcelain finish." - uncommon goods

Our designer managed to score one with a pink sleeve (how?  where?).  I closest I found was this and this.

Product Features
  • Don't contribute to the landfill. I am not a plastic cup, I am not a paper cup, but I am an eco-friendly alternative to a disposable cup!
  • Double-walled porcelain with a silicone drink-through lid!
  • Modeled after a 12-oz paper cup, this cup is insulated to keep your beverages at just the temperature you want, and not burn your hand!!
  • Because I am insulated, I actually hold only 9 oz due to the double wall styling!  This eco-friendly cup is dishwasher and microwave safe!
.... ok, quick, how many "!" did we just see?  (Sorry, the marketer in me let slip.)

  1. saw this (not a paper) cup at a store in the city last weekend. i was tempted to buy it, but went with another green approach: keep using my existing thermos mug. not as pretty as cute as this cup, but sleek in its own way, and keeps things hot for hours on end. too bad thermos discontinued it instead of coming out with cooler designs.

  2. I use a thermo too, but do you think it's deceptively small? I'm constantly refilling it. Notpapercup feels like it's a little bigger... and much cuter!
